Would you like to
be more involved in the school? We are always in need of
volunteers at our various events.
Market Day

Duration:
Once a month for 10 months.
Market Day orders
are delivered to our school's Science Room at 1:30pm. The food
items are first sorted into categories. Checklists are used to
confirm the correct number of items. Items are then sorted
according to the customers order. By 2:30pm, customers come to
pick up their order. You can see the
Market Day schedule here. If
you are interested in helping out, please email us at
bfgibbspto@gmail.com so we can email you a reminder the day
before the order is delivered.
Library
Volunteers -

Duration:
Once a week for eight weeks
Shelving the
books that the children at Gibbs have borrowed and returned in the
Media Center.
Cup Cake Sale -
Help with baking and selling of cupcakes after school at 3:10
Car Wash- September 24, 2011
Help with car washing and drying; along with cupcake sale
Scholastic
Book Fair
Date: Oct.
6th & 7th
Help will be
needed in assisting children to select age appropriate books with the
funds they bring to the book fair. A class schedule will be
going home to the families that will show when your child's class is
going to visit the book fair. You can come to help out
just his/her class or you can stay as long as you can to help with
other classes.
Halloween
Spooktacular
Date:
Oct. 27th, 6pm
(set up), Oct.
28th 2:30 (set up) 7-9pm.
We will need
people to help decorating our gym for the event. Help will also
be needed to run games. Donations of baked goods will also be
appreciated.
Holiday Shop
Date: Dec.
13th and 14th
Help will be
needed in assisting children to select gifts for their loved ones with
the funds they bring to the Holiday Shop. A class schedule will
be going home to the families that will show when your child's class
is going to visit the shop. You can come to help out just
his/her class or you can stay as long as you can to help with other
classes.
Book Swap
Date: Feb.
8th and 9th
Children will be
bringing book vouchers that allows them to select up to 5 free books
to bring back home with them. Help will be needed to sort out
books prior to the swap and assistance will be needed to help children
find and select books.
Eating of the Greens
Date: Mar.
16th
Green fruits and
vegetables will be delivered to Gibbs. We will need help sorting
the produce and bagging them to hand out to class parents.
Adult Night
Date: Mar.
23rd,
7:30pm - 11:30pm
We will need help
with wrapping prize baskets.
Mother’s Day
Plant Sale
Date: May
11th
Help will be
needed in assisting children to select flowers for their loved ones
with the funds they bring to the plant sale. A class schedule
will be going home to the families that will show when your child's
class is going to visit the plant sale. You can come to
help out just his/her class or you can stay as long as you can to help
with other classes.
Field
Day
Date: May
23rd, raindate June 8th
Volunteers will
be needed to help Mr. Mongiardo and Mrs. Backo with running the
various sports activities around the school. Help will be needed
for serving food to the children after the activities.
As these events
approach, we will reach out to you via a volunteer form. If you are
able to help out, we would really appreciate the extra hands!
Or, you can also
help by volunteering your skills be it a special
cookie recipe, wrapping baskets for our Adult Night fundraiser to
using your artistic abilities to make posters for our events. Just
let us know what you can do via an email to us
