The PTO would also like to thank all the teacher volunteers and Mr. Davies who took the time to come back to school for our Family Book Fair Night to read to the children.

Scholastic's One For Books

During our Family Book Fair night, $84 was collected for Scholastic's One For Books program.  For each dollar donated, a ticket with a child's name was submitted to be eligible for a chance to win one of 5 - $20 vouchers for books at the book fair. 

The 5 winning tickets were pulled on the morning of Friday, Oct. 9th by four - 5th Grade morning announcers.  Congratulations to the winners, Helen C., Samantha K., Manisha O., Brianna K., and Madison O. who all redeemed their vouchers for more books!

All of the money collected from One For Books ($84) goes directly to purchasing more books for our school.  Scholastic Book Fairs will match the One for Books dollars with a donation of up to a million books to three non-profit organizations devoted to helping families in need: Kids in Distressed Situations, Inc., the National Center for Family Literacy, and the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.
